An event opportunity I simply could not let pass by

Yes, that meant cutting my holiday short and flying back to Johannesburg the night before the event (Sunday, 9th April). And of course I had jet lag, thus I arrived a little later than I planned. Thankfully I wasn’t too late to spend about half an hour with over 65 supercars and reuniting with friends and associates.

We departed from Daytona at 8:45 am and a 45 minute drive ensued to the spectacular African Pride Irene Country Lodge in Pretoria.

After the guests were greeted and introduced, a delicious breakfast was served along with a view of nature. Massages and live music was also available.

Exciting Supercars!

There were supercars ranging from the first gen Lamborghini Gallardo right upto my favorite supercar, the McLaren 675LT. A very cool car that caught my attention instantly was a blacked out Porsche GT2 that wore subtle yellow stripes.

Was cutting my holiday short worth it? Uhmmm.. YES! I got to meet up with friends and see some really awesome supercars. I must say that I really enjoyed the company of the people at the event.

Thanks to IBV members – Faaiza, Tessa, Shazia  and Uneil – for always having me over to cover their events. I’m happy to call them friends.
