Thanks to the extremely high customer demand, my favourite brand, McLaren will be making 500 more 675LT’s. But not in Coupe form, but in the form of the most brutal Spider form. The new 675LT Spider is said to be the fastest, most focused and most exhilarating open-top McLaren ever.
The 675LT Spider will still have the same 497kw and 700nm of torque as the Coupe. This machine will also still do 0-100km/h in a blistering 2.9 seconds. With a twin turbo V8 engine and a top speed of 326km/h this car will absolutely dominate any car that tries to compete with its drop top looks and speeds. The Spider version is 40kg heavier than the Coupe which weighs in at 1270kg.
The lightweight carbon ceramic brakes come standard.The 675LT Spider will come with 19” wheels at the front and 20” wheels at the rear. The wheels will come fitted with P Zero™ Trofeo R tyres. There’s 3 wheel choices, the choice of the 20-spoke forged alloy wheels, the standard 10 spoke wheels or the five spoke option is also offered and all wheels will be available in a choice of finishes.
The competitor 488 Spider will go for around R3.2 million while the 675LT Spider will go for around R5.4 million. In my opinion the 675LT Spider is much smarter, stronger and powerful.
