A sad sight indeed occurred somewhere in the United States when a Porsche Taycan Turbo was unfortunately wrecked in a car accident. It is uncertain what exactly occurred the newly launched EV.

The Porsche Taycan Turboo, which was formerly known as the Misson E, has 500 kW (671 hp) and does the 0-100 km/h time in a mere 3.2 seconds.

Deliveries of the Porsche Taycan is believed to have started in December for the US market, making this car less than 6 months old. The car is listed on a salvage auction site, Copart, with an estimated retail value of $167,865 USD. The higher than base price could be because the car has a few options to it. The Taycan’s primary damage is listed as the undercarriage, but there are no images to actually see whats going on underneath the car.

By judging from the images, we can see that the suspension is completely finished off, as well as damage to numerous other areas, including the front. Whatever hit the car was certainly hard enough forcing it to deploy the airbags. We can only imagine the astronomical amount it would cost to fix this car, and lets not forget about that very expensive electric powertrain that could be damaged.
