The race we’ve all been waiting for…
Previously, CarWow put a non Competition M5 (regular M5) against the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S. Now, we get to see a bit more of a “fair” race where both the cars that are put against each other are now in the more hardcore version.
Let’s talk stats
The BMW M5 Competition produces 617 hp (460 kw) which means it has 26 (19 kw) more hp than the standard M5. It can do 0 to 100km/h in just 3.3 seconds and the torque remained untouched at 750 Nm.
The Mercedes-AMG E63 S has less horsepower at 603 hp (450 kw) however it has a total of 850Nm of torque, thats over a 100 Nm of torque more than the M5 Competition. Same like the M5 Competition, the E63 S can also do 0 to 100km/h in just 3.3 seconds.
These stats are incredible especially for four-door “family cars”.
In the previous race, the E63 S won the race by a few inches. Let’s see how it compares to the Competition version of the M5.
