Porsche shows us another masterpiece, a pure-bred sports car, the Porsche 911 R. The 911 R is limited to just 991 examples worldwide. The 911 R is built with a powerful 500 hp four-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six engine driving the rear wheels, a six-speed manual transmission all on a lightweight body. Yes, Its manual!
The new 911 R is the lightest version of the 911 and has an overall weight of 1,370 kilograms. It has the 4.0 liter boxer engine from the 991 GT3 RS. This engine produces 500 hp at 8.250 rpm and 460 Nm of torque at 6.250 rpm. It does 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and the top speed is 323 km/h.
It comes in only two official colors; Carrera White or Silver GT. With the Carrera white, you’ll get a cool red striping and with the Silver GT you’ll get green striping. It’s retro reference to the first 911 R. Even more retro are the air intakes for the engine and the striping on the doors.
The 911 R is phenomenal. Its classy like any other Porsche but has a sporty feeling to it. I love everything about it, the interior is amazing, the exterior is great, maybe only one thing is missing for me, a wing… Other than that, the car is perfect! Its elegant with a lot of sporty impulses.
The 911 R is built in tradition of its historic racing car from 1967.
